Escape to a peaceful holiday caravan located in the North York Moors National Park near Egton Bridge and Grosmont, nine miles from Whitby. This privately owned caravan situated on a small working farm is sited away form the farm buildings in its own fenced garden area, offering peace and tranquility for couples. The caravan boasts beautiful views over the stunning countryside of the Esk Valley. See our horses and donkey as well as the local wildlife, including numerous wild birds, rabbits and Roe deer. Ideal for those wanting a walking holiday, exploring Whitby, the coast and Heartbeat country, or just to relax and get away from it all. Easily accessed by road with adequate parking for your car, motorbike or bicycle, close to the caravan. Lovely country pubs within walking distance and close to the North Yorkshire Moors (steam) Railway.
Winter bookings will be taken on the understanding that the weather may lead to us being forced to cancel.
We are a non smoking holiday accomodation. Our policy includes strictly no smoking in all areas of the caravan including the awning, garden and anywhere on the farm. Unfortunately some guests have ignored this policy. This is a polite notice to say that if you feel you are unable to refrain from smoking whilst on our premises please do not book your holiday with us. We also request that during your stay, you respect the Private sign on the gate to the field adjoining the caravan, as the grass needs to have chance to grow for us to have winter feed for the animals. There may be times of year when we will be able to allow you access, but we will inform you when that is the case.

To be clear, as there frequently seems to be some confusion, the caravan has only 12v electrical supply. This means that the 240v, three pin sockets are not in use and therefore your hair straighteners, microwave etc. will not work in it.
A full size awning is attached to the caravan giving you extra storage and somewhere to put muddy boots and wet clothes. During the off season months (coloured green on the availability calendar) the awning will not be available, but a large area of decking extends out from the side of the caravan providing a clean area to step out onto. We will periodically need to gain access to the awning and caravan to change the battery, reset the hot water and change the toilet cassette.
Non smokers only. Smoking is not permitted in the caravan, awning or garden area.
PRICES FOR 2012
Prices are per week from Saturday to Saturday. Short stays, priced from £30.00 per night, and alternative week starts may be available during low season and as last minute bookings. MINIMUM STAY OF TWO NIGHTS. Price includes all gas and electric (12volt.)
All bookings require a £50.00 deposit (non-returnable upon cancellation). The balance is then due 4 weeks prior to arrival. Bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival date must be paid in full. Please make cheques payable to HALINA VARGA, Southside Farm, Egton Bridge, Whitby, N Yorkshire, YO22 5AT.
